Level II: Equipment Troubleshooting & Maintenance
BOC Level II is a different and distinct certification of its own. BOC Level I certification provides a broad understanding of building systems O&M while BOC Level II offers more targeted training in equipment troubleshooting and diagnostics, as well as best practices in facilities management. Level II training gives you the skills to effectively analyze building systems to optimize efficiency, saving you time and money.

For Further Training
To become Level II certified, participants must attend four core classes and at least two supplemental classes, complete class exams, and assigned projects for a total of 61 hours, or 6.1 CEU’s.
Eligibility for Level II Training
It is highly recommended that applicants for certification have a high school diploma or GED, and must have one of the following:
- a technical degree and three years of experience working in operations and maintenance of a commercial or institutional facility,
OR
- a union membership at journey level and three years of experience,
OR
- BOC Level I certification and four years of experience.
