It is the policy of Building Potential (formerly the Northwest Energy Efficiency Council, NEEC) to require instructors to disclose proprietary interest in any product, instrument, device, service, technology or material discussed during BOC® training events, and to disclose the source of any third-party compensation related to the presentation. Instructors are required to disclose this information in the form of a verbal announcement at the commencement of the BOC® training session.
Building Potential instructors are required to refrain from product or service endorsements of any kind during the BOC® training events. This policy appears as a written requirement in the personal service contracts held with each BOC instructor and signed by Building Potential and the instructor.
This policy applies to employees of Building Potential and to individuals under contract to Building Potential for services in development, administration, instruction and delivery of BOC® training events.
Furthermore, Building Potential’s instructor disclosure policy is made available to learners in advance of the BOC training through a posting on the BOC web site under the “Faculty” pages.
