Description:      

The town of Medfield seeks creative, energetic, technically oriented person to monitor energy usage, develop programs to reduce energy consumption, and investigate potential energy generating facilities within town. Applicant will work closely with the School Department and department heads to maximize energy efficiency in new buildings and monitor energy conservation measures and results. Must be knowledgeable of and ability to manage energy grants and initiatives available to the town. Energy/Facilities Manager will work closely with the Energy Committee and assist the Committee in preparation and presentation of materials. Must have the ability to write clearly, prepare reports, make oral presentations. Successful applicant should have knowledge of HVAC, Electrical and Lighting Systems, Process Control and Building Codes and must possess a valid MA driver’s license. An associates or bachelors degree in engineering, energy management, and environmental science, building systems or related field is required. Experience may be substituted for the degree requirement at the discretion of the town, and consideration will be given to CEM, BOC, or LEED Certification. Position is salaried, ($46-48,000), full time, 37.5/week, benefit eligible, with occasional attendance at evening meetings.
