In a new video produced by Energy Trust of Oregon, Jess Miller, Director of Facilities and Security at Umpqua Community College, discusses the impact of BOC’s holistic approach to building management and why it is “absolutely critical to help you improve.” Jess and his lead maintenance technician recently completed the BOC Level 1 Certification, which has given them both knowledge and motivation to implement essential energy savings practices campus-wide.

Energy Trust provides an incentive of up to $600 per BOC-certified building operator to help with the cost of obtaining Level 1 or Level II BOC certification through Northwest Water & Energy Education Insitute (NWEEI). The building operator must be regularly working in a commercial, institutional or governmental building served by Portland General Electric, Pacific Power, NW Natural or Cascade Natural Gas.
