BOC Level I Training Series

Building Operator Certification (BOC) training includes 74 hours of classroom and project work (7.4 CEUs) in building systems operation and maintenance. Each course in the series is completed in a one day training session, except BOC 1001 Energy Efficient Operation of Building HVAC Systems, which is a two-day course. To earn Your BOC Level I Training Certificate of Completion, you must attend seven BOC classes, complete five in-facility project assignments, meet eligibility and submit a Training Certificate of Completion Application. Early registration is encouraged.
Program Fees
- Level I Training Course Tuition:
- $1,595. The registration fee of $1,595 covers all class materials, books, and Training Certificate of Completion credential recognition materials.
- BOC Certification Exam (optional):
- $285. Students who wish to earn the additional Certification credential and become a Certified Building Operator (CBO) must pass a comprehensive exam. The exam takes place after the course is completed and exam applications have been reviewed. Students will be able to schedule an exam date and time at their convenience after the course is complete.

Cancellation Policy and Refund Information
Level I Training Course Tuition
No refunds will be provided for tuition registrations canceled less than seven (7) business days before the start of the first course in a training series. However, employers may substitute another employee if the original registrant is unable to participate in the training series.
If a training participant is unable to attend a class in a training series for which he or she is registered, he or she may make up that class at no additional cost or penalty by attending it when it is offered during another training series.
BOC Certification Exam
The certification exam fee is nontransferable, but is refundable if the candidate provides notification of the test cancellation and refund request in writing no later than 14 days prior to the last class date. If a candidate schedules an exam, but is unable to attend due to emergency or hardship they may contact the program at info@bocalabama.comwithin 20 business days of the original examination date to request a rescheduled exam with supporting documentation of the situation. If such a request is not made, the candidate will forfeit the full examination fee.
