Building Operator Certification training for your front-line building staff can help your organization improve the triple bottom line, and this spring, with generous support from NYSERDA, the CUNY Building Performance Lab is offering BOC Level-1 at a 70% tuition discount.
Why BOC? The BOC course is a competency-based training and certification program for building operators and facility managers. Through this 60-hour training, the Building Operator will improve their system management skills which will lead to more energy efficient facilities, as well as a more comfortable indoor environment for building occupants. The course provides an overview of building systems, especially as related to energy use. It focuses on equipment and system functions; thermal comfort, lighting and air quality; understanding of building loads and fundamentals of their calculation; as well as mechanical and electrical systems and life-safety considerations.
