COVID-19 and the Built Environment
BUILDINGS is hosting a panel discussion of industry heavyweights in building design and management to answer one question with regard to COVID-19: Where do we go from here?
We’ll discuss how things are changing in the way we deliver and manage facilities, as well as how the outbreak will affect the way we approach future challenges.
Course Tuition: Free
Learning Objectives:
- Understand how COVID-19 has impacted the design, delivery and operation of buildings so far.
- Hear how people in the industry are adjusting.
- Learn some examples of how people in the industry have come together to assist each other and/or their tenants.
- Gain some ideas for how to respond to future challenges.
Benefits of Energy and Domestic Water Submetering
One of the top priorities of building owners and operators is the need for more efficient and accurate BTU metering.
Having good and reliable information can help reduce the amount of energy used, by operating more efficiently. This can help reduce operational costs and recover revenue from inaccurate billing.
Since the early 1980’s ultrasonic clamp-on Flow meters have been utilized for BTU metering and submetering. Some advantages of clamp-on meters are; retrofit capability—no shutdown required, all in one BTU meter, low flow sensitivity for measuring off peak flows, and 1% accuracy.
In this presentation we will cover clamp-on BTU metering technology, features, accuracy, and discuss the benefits of submetering in the energy industry.
