Overview of Position
Persons in this position support energy auditing, retro-commissioning and field service of equipment and systems to ensure District Facilities are operating as designed and at optimal efficiency. Position responsibilities include investigating proper operation and control strategies for HVAC, lighting, water, power, and DDC systems in order to identify energy conservation opportunities. The position will also help facilitate the implementation of retro commissioning related projects, initiatives, and programs that reduce energy consumption and/or ongoing maintenance costs for the District. Traditional Retro Commissioning techniques will be utilized. Work tasks involve a combination of office and field work. Office duties include developing, implementing and analyzing trend studies as well functional performance tests for equipment and systems. Field work includes testing equipment and systems under a variety of operating conditions as well as performing a variety of necessary field modifications.
