March 1, 2019 is the deadline for completing a Tune-Up for buildings 200,000 square feet or greater. The City of Seattle strongly encourages you to plan well in advance of Building Tune-Up compliance deadlines as the building assessment, implementation of required corrective actions, and verification can take several months to complete.
And keep planning ahead! April 1, 2019 is the Alternative Compliance deadline for buildings between 100,000-199,999 SF. Alternative Compliance request forms are available at www.seattle.gov/buildingtuneups. Please review requirements to ensure you meet the timeframe and standards outlined and can provide the required documentation.

BOC Level II fulfills the requirements of a qualified Tune Up Specialist. If you have already completed the BOC Level II training and fulfill the experience requirements, your credential must be current to qualify. If you need help bringing your credential up to date, please contact our BOC Help Desk. If you are interested in earning the BOC Level II credential in order to qualify as a Tune Up Specialist, our BOC schedule for WA is available with a Level II course starting in Seattle in March 12, 2019.
