Building Operator Certification (BOC) is the leading training and certification program for building engineers and
maintenance personnel. Our graduates make their buildings more comfortable, efficient, and environmentally friendly,
thanks to skills they master in our classes.
And the BOC credential is just as valuable to building owners as it is to operators. Our graduates help their organizations
substantially cut operating costs- as much as $20,000 per year.
Level II classes consist of enhanced coursework that prepares building operators to evaluate the operational performance
of their buildings with a focus on improving energy efficiency.
It is highly recommended that all attendees have a high school diploma or GED, and must have one of the following:
• a technical degree and three years of experience working in operations and maintenance of a commercial or
institutional facility,
• a union membership at journey level and three years of experience,
• BOC Level I certificate of completion or certification and four years of experience
