Water efficiency doesn’t just lower operating costs – it also saves energy and improves resiliency. Through the Better Buildings Water Savings Network, DOE is working with organizations to share and demonstrate successful approaches to water efficiency in buildings, plants, and multifamily housing. This network builds on the progress already made by many Better Buildings Challenge partners who have pursued energy efficiency and taken the next step, saving more than 10 billion gallons since 2015.
Facility owners and managers interested in water efficiency and the nexus between water savings and energy reduction can access peer exchange and technical assistance through the network. There are many ways to participate, from sharing your ideas and solutions on a webinar to tracking and sharing water use data. To learn more about the benefits and how to get involved, click here.
