Presenters:

Emily Pearce, Vice President, Waypoint Building Group

Emily Pearce has over a decade of experience in the energy efficiency industry. She has lead strategic initiatives for many utility programs including developing and designing innovative energy efficiency and market transformation programs, introducing new technology to the marketplace, and implementing and improving national energy efficiency programs. Ms. Pearce has led major business development efforts across the U.S. She has specific experience in commercial utility markets and the commercial real estate market with expansive relationships throughout these sectors.

As Vice President at Waypoint, Emily has led the delivery of the utility services team to drive value for utility, government, and commercial real estate clients. She executes innovative market outreach and engagement programs, manages stakeholder relationships, and holds overall budgetary responsibility and ownership. Emily has a B.S. in Fisheries and Wildlife from Michigan State University, and an M.B.A in Finance and Organizational Behavior from Marylhurst University. She is a Certified Energy Manager.

Johnathon Fata, Manager, Waypoint Building Group

Johnathon has over seven years’ experience working with utilities, renewable energy and energy efficiency programs. Johnathon is responsible for the execution and management of multiple utility and commercial real estate energy efficiency programs. While at Waypoint Johnathon has overseen projects ranging from quantitative analysis and energy measurement and verification of energy efficiency programs, to complete stakeholder engagement of the commercial and multifamily real estate markets to market and deploy energy efficiency and sustainability programs.

Prior to joining Waypoint, Johnathon worked at the Clean Coalition, a renewable energy policy organization focused on bringing clean, local energy to the market in a scalable, timely and cost-effective manner. Johnathon led program outreach efforts to utilities throughout the Southeastern United States, conducted risk analysis for the California renewable portfolio standards and helped design energy policies for utilities and municipalities. Johnathon holds a MS in Environmental Studies from San Jose State University and a BS in Environmental Science from the University of Florida.
