The County has nearly 20 different departments with roughly 800 employees. This position performs a variety of semi-skilled and specialized duties to maintain, operate, and repair County facilities, systems, and equipment. Work could involve special projects or general, preventative duties in construction, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry and other building trade areas. The successful candidate must work cooperatively with diverse individuals in a deadline environment.

Qualifications
High school diploma or GED and 4 years of increasingly responsible building maintenance and repair experience, including basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, mechanical repair, and painting.
Special Requirements
-Must have a driving record that meets County standards and possess a valid driver’s license at time of hire and throughout employment.
-Background check must meet County criteria for security sensitive positions.
-Must be eligible to cross between the United States and Canada.
-Must pass a pre-employment physical capacities test.
